10 | ![]() | Sarah Smith Kelly ? (1802 - 1866) Wife of Judge Peter Kelly Having not seen the original of this photo, I speculate that it is either a Daguerrotype or an Ambrotype. Thomas Miltenberger was listed as an ambrotypist in Bellefontaine, Ohio in 1858. This means that the technology was available in that town for this photo to have been taken during the years that Sarah was still living. The clothing worn by the woman in this photo suggests to me that it was taken sometime in the 1860's.

15 | Family Gathering - Kelly Descendants This photo appears to have been taken on Independence Day. The year might have been as late as 1909 as John Tyler Gribble is the man standing right-most in the photo, and he died November, 1909. His sister-in-law, Martha Kelly Patterson, is the woman seated on the porch visible under the right-most American flag. John's wife, Margaret Kelly Gribble may be the woman barely visible in the back corner of the porch. The young woman with her hand on her waist may have been Mattie Patterson since she strongly resembles her mother, Martha. The young woman standing to the right of John Gribble is probably one of his daughters, Alta or Lois, with the smiling woman on the porch being the John's other daughter. As neither Lois nor Alta married, the children were not theirs.
